The Brazilian Blowout

So, my mom came home the other day and told me she had heard her boss talking about this treatment she had gotten done on her hair. Her boss said that she couldn’t do anything with it, she had even jumped into the shower, but no matter what she tried, her hair remained straight. Now, when I heard this, I knew her boss had had a Blowout, but my mom, bless her heart, she thought her boss had gotten a “Blow Dry”. I could barely contain my smile. I then told her I was pretty sure her boss had had a Blowout, but just in case, I told her to look it up online. That was yesterday. She’s looking it up right now, and a few minutes ago she said in the most solemn voice,

“She had a Blowout.”

She then proceeded to laugh when she saw that a salon in Beverly Hills said that it was the home of the Brazilian Blowout.

Moral of the story is, look everything up, whether its complimentary colors on the color wheel or if you’re going to get a Blowout or a “Blow Dry”.

Oh, and Brazilian Blowouts are very, very, very bad! I can’t stress it enough. The levels of Formaldehyde say what needs to be said. Also, the treatment has been banned in several European nations, and Australia. America came after almost every country there is, so maybe we should take our cues from them on this issue. No more Blowouts. Think about it, if you need to wear masks while getting the treatment done, if they need industrial ventilators to remove the air, if salons schedule Blowouts when nobody else is in, I think there might be a problem.

And yes, I know there are no safer alternatives that give the exact same results as the Blowout or certain alternatives don’t last as long, but just think how happy you will be when in-let’s say 10 years-when in ten years, a certain type of disease has been linked back to the Brazilian Blowout treatment, and it is a disease that you do not have. See smiley faces. 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

So, yeah. I didn’t mean for this to get ultra heavy, but I just want people to know, The Brazilian Blowout is an unknown when it comes to your health. There could be zero adverse affects, or it could be the worst thing since Godzilla. Only time can tell.

This is me, signing off. Til next time lovelies!!
